that looks hard to steer
![]() 11/15/2014 at 17:50 |

It steers really easily once you get used to it.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 17:50 |

isn't that gonna be hard to steer, especially when there's a sizable load in the cart?
![]() 11/15/2014 at 17:54 |
|
Won't be any harder than your mom.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 17:57 |

great answer dude!
![]() 11/15/2014 at 17:59 |

Do your knees hit the back of the cart?
![]() 11/15/2014 at 17:59 |

Lolding.

No

Is a Wal-Mart somewhere missing a shopping cart?
Looks awesome though, Haha. Go into a store with it now.

Kroger that I used to work for gave it to me

lol + welding. Referring to your previous gripe post.
Also, in addition to being a good name for a band, I would describe this thing with the phrase Suicide Geometry.

Out of curiosity, what is the intended goal of this project? Other than making a cool bike pickup truck.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:07 |

Will it have a Martini or Gulf livery?
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:07 |

Also, isn't the grip supposed to be on the driving wheel or wheels? Isn't this the bikecart version of putting chains on the wrong wheels?

Acetylene did wonders for it. I was just pissed when I was able to pull the front axle off of the support tube.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:10 |

The rear wheel is the drive wheel, I just haven't mounted the hub motor wheel yet.

Design and build a thing
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:11 |

simple enough.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:15 |

Mother of god... It's alive!
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:24 |

Well, it seems like you've definitely built a thing.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:37 |

Awesome! It's senior project or something right?
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:43 |
|
Not quite
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:44 |
|
Yeah
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:45 |
|
I suggest you put an engine on it.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:46 |

I have a 1000 W hub motor for the back
![]() 11/15/2014 at 18:47 |
|
Whoa, those are pricey. Good luck with it!
![]() 11/15/2014 at 19:32 |

Fork, front fork
![]() 11/15/2014 at 19:40 |

?
![]() 11/15/2014 at 19:41 |

Bikes dont have axels they have forks, but I just realized what you meant. The axel on the cart. I feel kinda dumb now
![]() 11/15/2014 at 19:47 |
|
Bikes do have axles, they're what the wheels spin on, but I'm glad you figured out what I meant.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 19:49 |
|
No thats the hub in the front and the freewheel in the rear (assuming its not a fixie)
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:01 |
|
At the center of the hub is an axle, it's that threaded part.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:02 |
|
But its part of the hub assembly, no one really cals it an axle
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:03 |
|
But, it is an axle
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:04 |
|
Only technically. "Axle" isnt the proper terminology though
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:08 |
|
Uh huh.
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:09 |
|
What's the design for this thing? Any sketches? :)
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:10 |
|
People dont usually say axle in reference to a bike part, but ya youre right
![]() 11/15/2014 at 20:16 |
|
I have a 3D model of it that I need to convert into proper drawings. But I don't have them on me at the moment.

No problem, keep us posted. :)
I used to ride a heavy sucker similar to the one in pic below at my grandparents' place.
Grandpa had a garage to which he added a shack and another and another... Eventually there were 100+ bicycles and about 20 motorcycles/mopeds in it. Unfortunately, I was too dumb to save any of it when he passed away. Fucking hell.
